If you've seen my other work here on Art Station you'll know that I've been working on a 3d printing project; specifically a system, and online tool/website to allow users to customize and assemble their own dungeons for 3d printing.
Customize | Assemble | Share | Print
Here you'll see examples of some of the environments that have been created using the online Builder tool. The tool is still currently in development, but its very close to Early Access.
One of the features that I've tried to convey is how customizable each Tile is. So here are three identical layouts (I call Assemblies) using different Elements on each Tile. Its the tip of the iceberg though; since everything is modular you could come up with an enormous number of variations using just one layout. But the layouts aren't constrained, so really the possibilities are endless.
The essence of this system is that the Elements I use to make each Tile are built within strict constraints. So as long as I stay within those bounds when I model the assets, all the Elements fit together.
And I get to keep making new assets to add to the library. As long as there's an appetite for it, I can keep making new things.
Intro video for the website's landing page. Probably something that'll get replaced once I find someone who can make a proper video for me ;-)
